City Manager Candidates

Mayor Stegeman and the Menominee City Council would like to invite our citizens to meet the City Manager candidates. An informal “Meet and Greet” will be held at the Boater’s Lounge, 1000 First Street, Menominee MI 49858 Friday evening, October 7th, from 6 – 7 p.m. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.

Fire Hydrant Flushing

The Menominee Fire Department will be conducting fire hydrant flushing to help maintain the water quality and to evaluate the amount of water available for fire fighting purposes. The flushing will be done from 38th Avenue, north to the City Limits. Flushing will begin Tuesday September 20th and continue through Friday October 7th. Residents may experience some discoloration of water and possibly lower than normal water pressure. These conditions do not represent a health hazard. However, customers are cautioned to determine if their water is clear before washing clothes (or any other process) as staining may occur. If you experience discolored water, run the cold water in you faucets for approximately 5-10 minutes.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
